After using the J3 to play with non fuel related parameters for the last couple of months, I set up the tech edge wideband over the weekend. Unfortunately I think I'm having some problems since it went in. I have random lean flatspots that weren't there before - the car will feel gutless and bog down with winlog showing an AFR in the 18s for a few seconds. This usually happens at low revs with medium load, e.g. normal driving. Also, the readouts for TPS and MAP are jumping up and down (e.g. throttle shows 0, 2, 1 % continually cycling).

I'm assuming this is all due to a bad earth of some sort, but I've followed the information earlier in this thread as best I can. Could anyone confirm if they've had similar problems, and perhaps exactly where they connected the signal and power grounds?

Check your 2J earth and the nbsim signal. If you have doubts, get a 2nd bung put in to keep running the original O2.

Cheers,
