Hey i just bought a EL falcon recently. And the original owners were owned by the Enfield Police (enfield is a suburb in sydney). Then a family had it, now it's in my hands.

Anyways... Since i know my car was an ex cop car, Would it have an police ecu or any other modifications?

So far, The only thing i see is some drilled holes in the dash (obviously from the cop gear they had it) and a fire extinguisher in the boot.

oh yeah... here's a pic of my ride :)

ahhhh! get rip of those hubcaps! stick with the chaser rims! :P

the ex-chaser ECU's has no speed-limiter, shift-points were diff etc - look in the 'for sale' section - fuzion is selling one in there, and he states what the differences are.

you *should* also have an LSD? maybe? 3.23 or 3.45?

Compliance plate supposed to read OPT20 apparantley. Try a search - our good friend Fuzion made a thread all about identifying the ex pursuit cars.

holy sh*t... i am stoked... yep i see the OPT20 on the complience plate... i knew it was a bit abnormal....

hub cap... hmmm already lost one of them some how on the front left.
Prolly going to get a set of alloys or some more conservative styled hub caps that covers everything up.

my panelvan is ex cop , they left the police comp in .. doesnt do much, no speed limiter and it holds the gears a wee longer and takes a while to get into 4th .. chews gas too . they also left the relay in for the flashing headlights, which was hooked up to the rear demister switch, and also a pedal on the floor for the air horns .. o yea and they come with extra dents in the body and extra ripped seats.

the police package on them cars would have been a deal with ford, so the cars will have come out with them comps for the police, i dont think they would go to all the trouble in getting new standard comps after they get rid of them.

Thats all the info .

You will have xr suspension already in it, take off the hubcaps as mentioned as it'd look a lot tougher without them!

read the info/specs for it.. and come along to the sydney cruise this sunday
