i have an ea s pack manual wagon , that will not start it drove fine no probs then it was parked for 2 weeks and now no go .
i have good spark and i have fuel pressure to the rail . checked every thing i can think of but have no way of checking that the injectors are working . my question is , at home i have an ea fairmont auto sedan parts car can i take the ecu from that auto car and plonk it straight into my manual wagon to see if the ecu is the problem . |

one thing i forgot to metion while checking everything i found coming from the wiring harness on the firewall 2 red wires that go into a yellow plug that goes nowhere but has a green rubber bit with the resistor symbol on it , it was melted i cut it open and the resistor was toasted i replaced that .

Go to an auto parts store and buy a noid light, which is a test light that will plug in to the injector plug.
