I'm considering one...
I want to see the price first and see if its worth it, or just wait until the Dimasquirts (MS2) are ready for EF's.

the capa chip has had alot of buildup and the finished product thus far seems to be a bit of a letdown...bit like masturbation without the payoff..

i reckon i'll wait till the RPD boys have the auto-tranny stuff downpat.

One of the guys on FFAU received an email stating the price would be $795. I dunno wether that has been verified, but it sounds pretty good to me.

Probable end up 1100-1200 with a custom tune. Thats cheaper than the flash tuner for what is effectively the same product...

Once again though, its CAPA.
No doubt the chip will be totally f**k, and wont work properly or something like that. $795 seems too cheap for those rip-off merchants.

Dave, I gather you aren't a fan of CAPA products? What have you got through them in the past?

Haha, yeah i have almost got my mates g/f who's a lawyer onto them.
The guy who tunes my car has also contacted them, along with myself and my mate, who is as p****d of as I am.
I have only bought their pulley set and brackets off them.
I can fault one minor thing, and that is that it is so god damn hard to ever adjust and tighten the belts, as they stretch.

The main problem is the $700 bracket that they sell for our 302's, makes the intake side of the blower sit about 40-50mm off the shock tower of the car. I need to then somehow squeeze a 80-90mm flexible hose in between to get it to the front bar. Not easy in itself. After a few months of the hose rubbing on the shock tower, the pipe has worn through and a 50c sized piece of the flexible hose has been sucked into the blower, f**k the impeller.
It is partially my fault i gues for installing it all, but as CAPA haven't and never admitted to the bracket being f**k in the first place, they wont acknowledge that its their bracket that is going to cost me a minimum $1,000+ to get a new impeller, thats if the other gearing inside isn't screwed too.

The Big Boss there hasn't returned any of my calls or my mates, so thats why we were gonna get his G/F to write to them, and hopefully get a difinitive reponse.
Plus they were trying to dodge having to come out at the Nats last year when my car was literally 20m away to even look at the problem i had with their equipment.
I'm not expecting a new impeller for free, even though i kinda should, i would be happy for them to fix it free of labour and i'll pay for the god damn expensive parts. That would still cost me $700 just for the impeller.

But because they can't and wont even answer my questions, and the manager wont even speak to any of us, i have just got the s**t with them big time, and they'll be copping a massive blast this year at the Nats, and probably a big sticker on the back window slagging them off.

There, now thats off my chest...
