might have been from another owner. I doubt the cops used the car for more than a few years of its 20 year life

keep in mind that although it was 3.9. when new the ea mpfi still did a 15.6 1/4 mile which is pretty good for a 6 cyl in 1988..its quicker than a the xf or vl which were still fairly new at the time..
and there is no way the police would have used a cfi 3.9..

i believe the ea mpfi was still quicker over the 1/4 than a std ef xr6..?

Can I ask what logic would there be to having a police car with a kill switch?

Maybe same reason why modern cars have immobilisers?

I know the point of an immobiliser, but why would anyone bother fitting one to a cop car. If its not on duty with cops in it then its parked at the station... and I'm sure thats a hot spot for car thefts.

yeah i was thinking more along the lines of when they are at a 'job' and might have to leave the car unattended like chasing on foot....... i dunno, just an idea really
