YES AND YES. if u get a mild cam with the appropriate lift it will be fine on gas AFAIK and gas responds excelently to highter compression ratios so shave that head. plus theres turbo gas falcons goin around one here

So you have an EL motor in your EB with an ECU that was meant to run a 3.9L engine?

I think that is your problem there...I am taking a blind stab here...if the motor is 4L and the computer is 3.9, I am guessing the ECU would put more petrol in because it is getting all sorts of wrong reasons from all the sensors. Just a guess.

crap on fuel? compared to what? Falcons are not bad compared to my old HQ for example.... nearly twice the power for better fuel economy! IT leadfoot and heavy traffic that eats fuel! country trips can get nearly half the fuel consumption! my best was 900klm from 89 ltr in the ED wagon. I generally get about 400 or so from 70l gas. 530klm on the hwy. I think i used to get about 500+ in the ED wagon.

wife has EF Ghia (stocker Tickford I6 with 260ks and standard wheels) and we get Bundy to Brisy airport and back (mostly on cruise) and the 1st fuel warning (80kms left) still has not gone off. this equats to about 830kms from a tank. low to mid 400,s around town.

I have EB11 Ghia (stock I6 plus extractors) sitting loooow with 17's (GT body kit, blah, blah, blah) and get high 700,s on the same trip. mine has 225kms on it and is similar around town, (right foot taken into consideration)
