Could someone tell me what the difference is between
an ECU and a BCM. What are they exactly and where
are they located in the car and what do they stand for.

Just want some more knowledge is all...

ECU is electronic control unit or engine control unit (others)
it controls the engines go fast bits!

BCM is Body control unit or commonly known as BEM body electics module
It controls the interior goodies and wipers and s**t. ohh and smartlock in the fraud range.
