Thanks peter your a champion, I hope this does the job the thing wont idle and ive been told its a 50-50 ISC or ECU. I lucked out with the ISC looks like ECU it is. Is there any advantage to a further revised ecu that you or anyone knows of and do all the other prefix's need to be the same on another ECU
THANKS HEAPS Luke |

In general latest revisions are better then earliest, but on my understanding its better to get working system first and any of mentioned ECU’s will do the job. After you can go to J3 chip with whatever you like.
You can find other prefix meanings somewhear in the beginning of this topic.

EF ECUs are failing very often unfortunately and this is not linked with mileage.
ECU you bought should be remanufactured – you will see the sticker when receive item.

99% its the idle driver in the ECU, common problem with the EF.

Well it was the ECU and Pete put the NF ECU in it wasn't a re-man but it's done the job beautifully. Had fun changing the plug leads though. I have XR6 lowered suspension so I cant get them from underneath. some pretty handy gashes on the arm though. See diesel trucks ya don't get that LOL. Would there be any difference in the programme do you thing of the ECU? Thanks Heaps all Luke

hey guys, i brought a eb series 1 and i had a manuel in there and recently converted it to a 4 speed ef btr transmission. but my tranmission seems to only have 3 gears would this be because of my 0DBF - EB Auto 3.9 MPI ecu i have in there? or because i brought a dodgy transmission.
and also just curious which other ecu's would i be able to run without getting a smartlock bypass module? |

Hi all. I have just put an EA CFI setup on my 250 Xflow in an old jeep. The things purrs at idle but doesn't seem to rev above about 2000 revs, almost like it is being limited. I found the catch code on the ECU and it is 0DDC. Apparently it is out of an EA 2 auto. Could the ECU be causing the rev limiting?

Are we any closer to having a definitive guide to catch code identification?
