G'day thrillseekers, I have a few questions about an ecu change.

My current ecu in my i6 Gli wagon is a 4TEF, part # 94DT - 12A650 - EF

I have the opportunity to get another ecu. This one is a 4TEG, part # 94DT - 12A650 - EG

Now, the only difference between the two is that the 2nd one is suitable for:

6 cyl full auto - with lpg kit - WITH 16" WHEELS.

It's the 16" wheels bit that is bothering me. The current car has 15" wheels. According to the Bridgestone tyre website, there can be anything up to 50mm OD difference in 15 and 16" tyres (H rated)

If I use this ecu with 15" wheels, what effect will the smaller dia tyres have on the ecu operation?

Any and all comments will be greatly appreciated

There will be no obvious effect on using the ECU with other diametre wheels.

It would be just like putting 18" rims or any other size non standard rim on your car.

Having spoken to Ford, it seems you are correct, as the 2nd number is the superceeded part number for the first number :?
