I am geting a 214 Fault with my car which is to do with the CAM Angle Sensor (EF Futura August 1995) out of range.

Is this a serious fault as the car is running normal?

Not serious, as others of here have claimed the car will run without it.

Just FYI, Ford do not supply that part anymore, I had to get a second hand one from wreckers when I kept getting that code. You can unscrew the 2 little bolts on top of the sensor and replace just the top half if you are worried about getting the correct alignment on reinstall - as long as the shaft is not the problem.

I did remove the the plug and the car starts and runs normal?
What does it do that it need's to be there at all if the car can run without it
mybe just a extra gagget? Or for refrence to where top dead centre is possilbly?
