G'day all, quick one here.

I've got an EL hybrid 6 and a T5 ready to join it going into my LTD. The EL XR6 ECU was included (6TAA). Some people have said that the ECUs for these late ELs are different. I can't remember the catch code for the EL so I'll check tomorrow. Will the XR6 computer work? Or will I need a J3?

Cheers

It's a DF but being an 8 I'll be changing all the looms and everything anyway so that shouldn't make a difference? Unless the high series models had different ECUs?

they are a little different but any el manual ecu should run it, I have a 98 manual ecu in my 98 but I did have a 97 ecu in there for a little while

Yeah I'll give it a shot, just not sure when they changed the cam and everything to the AU ones if they made any changes to the ECU. But there's always a J3. Don't want to spend money if I don't have to, though.

That's all I pictured it being anyway, wouldn't imagine it being anything major, not enough to stop it from running at least. But time will tell I guess.
