have a XH Falcon Longreach ute and have changed out the BTR auto trans and replaced it with a T5 manual everything went well very happy with the results my only issue is the engine idle speed has increased to around 1500 rpm general discussion is that I either need to replace my ECM or have the Eprom chip re programmed to suit the manual transmission my ECM has the data listed below

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem before I have contacted several aftermarket electronic suppliers & all have a different take on it with different solutions and prices some worth more than me ute

ECM DATA:

9 330 065 167

95DA 14K144BB

86506 GLACIER

Love me Fords

to fix the idle you can simply unplug the thing on your throttle body that controls the idle its called a idle control solenoid, and theres a screw on the throttle that you can turn up to idle the car manualy, so what you can do is turn that up to where you want it to idle, with the other thing unplugged, and it will be like a normal manual car with no rev hang, but on cold starts you will need to keep your foot partly on the throttle, or you can chase a manual commputer or chip to put into your computer to change it to a manual computer

i wasn't sure the problem but a resistor between two pins on an auto ecu basicly converts it to a manual
