Okay, this is a tricky situation, what systems (besides engine and gearbox) in Falcons (ie EL's), relies on having the ECU present to run?

Here's a clearer picture for you, i'm not retaining the original autobox or engine, a completely different engine and autobox will be used (think Tokyo Drift  ). I'll be using the ECU out of the donor car to run the box and donk. I just need to know what other systems in the car requires the ecu to run?

aircon is nothing more than a electric clutch to turn on/off. Any stock or aftermarket ECU will probably have an output you can use specifically for that.

Climate Control is a different matter, that'd be borked, as would the trip computer, and cluster. You'd be looking at custom gauges.

Hmm, i think maybe a Motec cluster is called for haha! At a price though :( . I'll have a look at the ECU pinouts in the tech documents, but what of the climate control is controlled by the ECU?

It provides inputs to the CC controller.

Like what in particular? And be specific here haha :D . I know the air conditioning, when switched on, raises the idle to prevent stalling, but other things, i'm not sure of....

CC get's inputs for engine coolant temp, compressor on/off, compressor temp. That's all I can remember.
