Hey, asking anyone with an ED Futura factory 5 speed if they have had an XR6 auto ecu hooked up to their factory 5 speed manual and went hard. Saves me looking for a 2DAD. And remember it is an EEC4 not EEC5 like EF/EL.

Thanks mate but not sure a 2DAD will make much difference now. Was told the 2DAD will give me 1-2 kw and better to get a Wade 977B and J3 instead.

Anyway I put the ED XR6 auto ecu 2DBD in my ED Futura manual and it went ok - It idles perfect at 700 rpm but when I give it a rev it goes back down to 700 rpm but sometimes hunts up and down for about 30 secs - When driving and I floor it it seems to be normal but then it feels like it is getting held back over 2,500 rpm - The main thing is I tried it and did work but not what I expected - The 3DAC is back in and working as usual although it idles at 800 rpm - Might check the o2 sensor and ignition coil (with my $250 multimeter), do a compression test and put a set of AU injectors and new fuel filter in and hopefullly get my performance back

Hopefully its just a cheap faulty part causing the issues

Any luck so far on getting your power back ?
