Please can anyone tell me if there is another (better) substitute brand 110+ amp altenator eg. Bosch,Lucas etc from a later model vehicle that would fit straight in and line up ok (after pulley change) that i can use for my EF 6cyl ? Thanks. . .
. . . also is it possible to buy the regulator with brushes for this Mistubishi altenator ? |

You should only really need brushes, barring the diodes are all okay.{USERNAME} wrote: It is possible to rebuild them, if yours is stuffed take it to an auto electrician and get them to reco it. The bearings are fairly expensive. You can do it yourself, strip it down, use a rattle gun to undo the front pulley hub nut. replace the brushes, if the bearings feel okay, repack them with HTB grease. Being sealed bearings, you can lift the seals carefully with instrument screwdrivers. Does the one you have now run and charge okay ???
