Hi Guys,

I wanted to post up this thread/patition to get some people's feedback for more ecu support for the E series. I want to forward this thread to capa, sniper and all other companies that make software to tune cars like the ford BA's, Holden LS1 and so on.

I want to get this accross to them so we can get something for all of us. I know there is a market but obviously not as large as BA's and LS1 but im sure if there is more support there will be alot E series going around.

I will have 2 poll options for a flash tune sytle software or a plug in system like the Haltech E6GMX for holdens.

i think you will find that with the e series the ecu isnt able to be "flashed" and needs something to alter the fuel and timing side of things like a unichip. if it was a simple matter of reflashing i think you would find it would already be done lol

Good point but who knows, anything is possible and there is something out there for E series v8 which is called tweecer.

Id prefer a plug style unit like the Haltech E6GMX so i can run mafless tune and so on.

Both very similar to what twEECer does.

Ive read mixed reports on both products and im not confident in either to do the job.

Id want something like the E6GMX as its retail is $1100.00 so only a few hundred more than the chips and its full reprogramable unit.

I was playing around (when I had my EL) with a addon chip dealy, similar to what CAPA does now. Offers all the abilities a flash tune does on B series, but requires a flash chip plugged into the J3 port, as the EEC doesn't have flashable memory.

Personally I'd love some cheap (for an individual) software to be able to tune myself. It's a right royal PITA to do so with nothing but a hex editor.
