Just need someone to confirm that this is the knock sensor, also what colours should the wires on its plug be (haynes manual gives me colours that are not on ANY of the plugs)

Yup, sure is the knock sensor.

Blue with Black Stripe.
Blue with Yellow Stripe.

thanks, the paperwieght i bought (haynes manual) says its black/white and red yellow or something!

I'll have to check my workshop manual to see any difference.

However at a quick sight, thats the colors on an EF.

Between 4th and 5th cylinder (more towards 5th), upper block below the head. PASSENGER side.

Sweet, I'll keep that in mind... I have a EL motor with M90 going in my car and I'm wondering what to hook the sensor up to.
