Well I would've scanned first if I had any idea how or what to do but I did have another switch handy , so you do what you can eh!

Maybe they didnt in Un Zud but they most certainly did over here.
All XR series cars in EF and EL had 3.45 diffs.

Well, guessing is one thing, I'd rather go with diagnostics - I only play around under the car with oily/sh*tty gearboxes if I absolutely have to.

That's surprising, I can't see why they would do that. But Ford do sometimes have special specs for their export models. My '95 Mustang was a "made for export only model". It got things like left dipping headlights, side indicator lights & orange rear indicators.

However all the Aussie falcons in NZ came with catalytic converters, which of course we aren't rquired to run. You'd think if they wanted to reduce cost they would delete those expensive items off the list real quick.
