What ECU are you looking at ?????

For Auto models, the XR6 ECU has shift points calibrated for a 3.45 Diff, so if you are fitting it to a stock GLi, then your Auto Transmission will shift very very early (It probably wont rev out past 4000RPM)....

Apart from the shift point (The ECU is set up for either a 3.02, 3.23, or 3.45 Diff), swapping a 6cyl EF ECU, with another 6cyl ECU is pretty much plug and play.

Ok, so say you get an automatic GLi I6, put a Wade Stage 2 Cam, extractors and sports exhaust and a 3.45 LSD in it. Is it then worth changing to the automatic XR6 ECU? Or will the car still run well with the GLi one?

Also, is there a difference between the EL and EF automatic XR6 ECU's?

EF XR6 ECU Looks For 3:45 LSD
EF GLi ECU Looks FOr 3:08 SS
If You Put XR6 ECU In GLi Without 3:45 LSD The Car Wont Rev Out As Well Mod Is Good If Going 3:45 LSD At Same Time To Notice Big Difference
