I have a 72mm Butterfly TB available from a BAXR6T, I was wondering if it would make my EF breathe better, as mine is approx 65mm
Now for the hard part 1st: Is it possible? 2nd: Is it worth it? 3rd What modifications are needed for Cable Throttle linkage and TPS etc. 4th: Do I just have a go and tell all of what I learn.

I6 throttles are big as is, no need fit a larger one.
Besides, your intake manifold only has a T/B port of 68mm, designed for the original. Now if you put a 72mm T/B on, thats all good, but the airflow will still hit a 68mm port once through the T/B.

BA throttle bodies are drive-by-wire (i.e. they dont have a throttle cable). It wont be easy to fit and there are little to no gains.

I have bought the BA Turbo Throttle body, going to machine out my existing one and fit this ones butterfly in it's place.
I just got to check shaft size and bolt placement, if it is all sweet I will get it done pronto.

you can only machine e-series/au throttle bodies out to about 68mm. After that the walls get too thin.

So it looks like that idea is out the window, I will see what I can do with the BA one then ...

Why are you so keen to mod the throttle body? As already said the I6 one is HUGE for the size of the engine (e-series I6 are bigger than the v8's). Nobody has ever got so much as 1rwkw more by fitting a larger throttlebody (and many including myself have tried).

Ok you got me, I thought that they fit 90mm Throttle bodies onto the V8's which showed an improvement for them, so I thought well what is good for the 8 may work for the 6. I was planning on modifying the plenum to take advantage of the bigger butterfly too .
But If there is no benefit anyone want a BA Turbo T/B unmodified....

68mm is enough to make 180RWKW on a I6 falcon - been there and done that.

So where did you get to. and what did you do to get there. 180 RWKW is a limit I wouldn't mind passing, 220 + sounds nice....

Try to get to 180 first 220 isnt possible without forced induction, NOS, or methanol

You have a point, but I am quick running out of changes to make some horsepower from Naturally Aspirated anyways (without upping the compression (which will be hopeless for forced induction ,and/or doing some serious massaging on the head)
With the bigger throttle body I have got, if I later turboed it what harm can it do. I am trying to look at this from the end point in mind. apart from extractors and cam already fitted which will have to change anyways... but I have to make incremental improvements anyways just too keep my sanity and keep that smile on my dial everytime I hit the loud peddle. What are your suggestions
