Hey all,

I want to drain the tank in an EL using the EFI pump.

Which relay do I 'hot wire' to get it to run without ignition?

Oh it's an I6 if that makes any difference. :)

What is it? A sedan or wagon? Why do you need to drain the tank? More information would be handy so people can help you out. If it's a wagon, I usually just crack of the lock ring and left it drain out the side of the tank. If it's a sedan I usually take the pump out and syphon it, but on both cases I'm usually replacing the pump.

Earth the top right pin of the diagnosis connector, and turn ignition on, the pump will run continuously.

If you are worried about constant power to the coil, disconnect the plug - this is probably the hardest part of the job.

Also be careful not to run the pump dry for very long - doesn't do the pump too much good.
