I have the opportunity to purchase an EL GT ECU that I want to fit into my EL Ghia V8.

Planned mods are :

EL GT Upper and Lower Intake
Ford E303 Camshaft
FMS 1.7 Roller Rockers
75mm throttle body
82mm MAF with larger injectors

Question is if I plug in this EL GT ECU does it only work with an EL GT MAF or can I use the 82mm MAF I am getting. Does it ECU work just as long as the injectors are correctly calebrated to the MAF?

The only advantage I can see using an EL GT ecu is that it would have a better ignition map than the standard one.

They all should work fine as long as you have the MAF callibrated to suit the injectors.
Have you bought the E303 cam yet, or in the market for one ?

I think that the 82mm MAF & 75mm TB wil be an over kill unless you are planning on doing some real serious mods (stroker, etc.) to your donk further down the track.

The tmk Gt mafs are callibrated different.. From memory they are 19 Lb and run 24's .. The ecu calibrates.... similar to Cobra Mustang maf...

Car will not start as normal, always need to try when cold, even just crack throttle to get it to start.
Makes zero difference, tried it in my ELII XR8.

Once I got the 24lb, ELGT maf it all worked well with the ELGT ECU.

Still made zero difference to how it went though, in stock form.
