Yeah from what I've read the only reason you would do this is of you installed the BBM otherwise it'll run worse.

(1) is your car auto or manual?
(2) Are you running Thermo Fans?
(3) Are you going to be running a BBM?

Fuel maps would be suited to an EL BBM not a log manifold, also auto trans shift pattern is different, and Trip computer is not calibrated the same as EB II. Oh Diff needs to be 3.45:1

Diff does NOT need to be changed

I've run many EL ecu's into EB2 ED's and not a problem with them ... apart from the trip computer . But most of them have been manual

Crap, your speed sensor would be out for autos.
Oh have you seen the AFR's for an EL XR6 ECU, are they really the same ? If you answered no, then the fuel maps are out.

HE He ... you bit well.

If you intend on converting an EL trip computer to EBII, then you will need a 3.45:1 diff BUT ! your fuel maps/AFR will still be out as the ECU is set for a BBM manifold.
