hey
im thinking about turboing my XR and also upgrading the ECU (to a haltech interceptor), fuel injectors and pump. I would just like to know what are the fuel injectors and fuel pump rated at and wat is a good size for a turbo falcon thanks |

Factory injectors are only rated to around 180rwkw if you are lucky, while the fule pump will go to 200-220rwkw.
It really depends on how much boost and power you want to run, but you should always make sure you have plenty of reserve for forced induction applications. Some 30lb injectors will handly probably around mid 200rwkw and probably suitable for most applications but you could also look at some 36 or 42lb injectors which will give you plenty of head room. I would always suggest a decent fuel pump, they aren't expensive and are good insurance. |

as above, the stock injectors are 19lb, which is nothing for boosted applications, you'll be leaning out. Id recommend a bigger pump as above, and the above rated injectors. And also, get an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator.. rising rate I believe is the favoured for boost applications..
Cheers

Just one point on aftermarket regs, IMO if you have properly sized injectors and an aftermarket ECU (or custom tune of some sort) then stick with the factory reg because they are far more reliable than most aftermarket units. The only reason for an aftermarket adjustable/rising rate reg is to try to control fuel (if you dont have a custom ECU tune) or to push the injectors beyond their internded limits, otherwise they just aren't needed. |
