Apologies to moderators if this is in the wrong spot.
I have an EF Falcon the following sequence of events has occured: - ignition barrel failed so a makeshift starter button circuit installed , i think this caused more drain on battery - battery was therefore jump started several times, terminal rings are belled out(from pliars) so there is an earthing problem main fuse was replaced with a wire for purpose of starting ( what dose this protect?) During a drive around, dash lights started flashing, turn off lights sound came on for no apparent reason.starter system etc still works Is there a chance I have fried the ECU or circuit? I need to know coz i gotta sell it How do I troubleshoot this problem? Thanks. |

It may be time for a new ignition barrel/harness and please replace that bit of wire with the proper sized fusible link before [worst case scenario] you burn out your electrical side of things that the link is supposed to protect ie:your alternator, ignition system etc.Hope this helps Kevman.
