Just picked up a complete LPG system for the wagon.
It is very detailed , seperate ecu and a factory gas loom that is very
detailed.
Air induction has a Rubber valve for backfire and air box has spring clips on it.
Basically I think ford installed the loom as the car was going down the assembly line.
Does anyone know where the LPG ecu mounts??
I think mabey under the body control module but I am not 100% sure.
The problem I have now is that I really need a wirring diagram for the factory LPG system.
Can anyone please help me on this one??

Cheers

Sorry it's a EF XR6 wagon.

I will try Ford and see if I have any luck.
Tickford never released LPG on the XR6.
Why is this??
I hope there shouldn't be any issues with my ECU.
If not I will have to swap out the ECU for a stocky.

There are two ways to wire it up, if its from factory then there will be 3 wires which head over to the ECU which tell the ECU to cut the injectors, use a different timing map and different Auto shift points when on LPG. This requires the LPG version of the ECU. If you did not get the dual fuel car ECU then you can wire it up without this. You need to use the relay output of the LPG controller to cut the Injectors. Go to any LPG installer and ask if you can get a copy of the wiring diagram, there is one for the dual fuel factory install and one for the aftermarket install without the Dual Fuel Car ECU. If you fail there then talk to Boral, they are the local suppliers and can supply the manual at a resonable cost.

I can get the LPG ecu from the place I got the Gas Kit no problems.
Do you think I should do this or keep the XR6 ecu??
If I change the ecu to the LPG ecu will it still run the T motor fine??
Will I have to change the fuel pressure reg to a stocky???

You help has been great.
I suppose I should not put a XR6 motor on gas but the way Fuel price is going and that it's the wife's shopping trolly I am not to concerned.
