The File: (Updated 27/12/06 - Ver 1.01)

{DESCRIPTION}

There seems to be a few people who have trouble reading the stored codes from their EEC, so I thought I'd write this program.

Basically, if you can't keep track of the flashes and pauses, simply record the flashes with your camera/phone and use this program to interpret the flashes later on.

The interface is simple (written in FreeBasic). All you do is play back your video file, and click the left mouse whenever the LED is lit up. Release it whenever it is not!

After codes have been recorded, click the right mouse button to view the stored code list, and show a summary of their meaning.

Can a mod please tell me where I can upload the file on the site, as zip/exe is not allowed. Thanks.

Feedback welcome!

by the way, if someone can recommend a programming language for pocketpc, it should be possible to port this and have the infrared port directly read the fast codes without having to wait :)

ok... its up...

<See first post for link>

Prog is very straight forward, shouldn't be any bugs, but let me know if you find any, or would just like something included.

If I can work out how to read a PC ir port with FreeBasic, it will easily work on a laptop.

Currently EF codes only, but EL should be the same.

If I can get some videos of EA-ED, I can check if the flash delays are the same, and make an EA-ED version too.

Nice :)

Still waiting on feedback peoples!

Anyone want direct code entry, stuff like that?

You think it up, and if its easy enough to incorporate, i'll put it in the next version.

Hey mate, I tried it out by entering codes like they would in a car (using the tech page) and it worked like a charm. Great stuff mate and definately worthy of being sticky.

If I could add any imput at all however, rather than having quit as the only option after right clicking, there could be a reset function incase someone made a mistake so the program doesn't have to be re-opened.

Other than that, top job, pat on the back from me. :)

Thanks for the feedback smiley235

Have added a restart feature, and a very basic printing option.

Menus are also touched up, as well as the ability to press Escape from the main menu to exit without having to go through the whole recording process.

Colours are now a lot more teletubby - tell it to my lawyer. :P

Ver 1.01 now available in the updated link on first post.

Enjoy!

I've done some pocketpc programming with vb.net + the PPC SDK.
