Hi ,

I have just done a scan on my NF and there are 2 codes coming up . 778 code I now what that is but 637 code I know it's the trans temp link about I can't find where it is and what it does . I hope if I fix the problem the car will get out of limp mode . If anyone has had the same problem or know where I can look .

Any help would be grateful .

The information Link between the EEC and the 97LE module is at or near +12V. Can be caused by a short to Battery Voltage, or a fault in either of the 2 modules

And 778 will be to do with the ECU not turning the cooling fans on.....

Perhaps try another ECU?

Ok can you check the wire between the two to make sure it's getting 12v , and I will have to have a look at the battery terminals as the battery is brand new .

I believe it's saying it SHOULDN'T be getting 12v, should be earth. And a short to battery voltage on that line isn't caused by a dodgy battery terminal.

I'm no expert, but my interpretation of the error would be that one of the modules is faulty (EEC or 97LE (transmission) module) - and since the other error points to an EEC fault also, I would be trying a new (second hand) ECU before trying to trace a wiring short.
