Hi ,
I have just done a scan on my NF and there are 2 codes coming up . 778 code I now what that is but 637 code I know it's the trans temp link about I can't find where it is and what it does . I hope if I fix the problem the car will get out of limp mode . If anyone has had the same problem or know where I can look . Any help would be grateful . |

The information Link between the EEC and the 97LE module is at or near +12V. Can be caused by a short to Battery Voltage, or a fault in either of the 2 modules

Ok can you check the wire between the two to make sure it's getting 12v , and I will have to have a look at the battery terminals as the battery is brand new .

I believe it's saying it SHOULDN'T be getting 12v, should be earth. And a short to battery voltage on that line isn't caused by a dodgy battery terminal.
I'm no expert, but my interpretation of the error would be that one of the modules is faulty (EEC or 97LE (transmission) module) - and since the other error points to an EEC fault also, I would be trying a new (second hand) ECU before trying to trace a wiring short. |
