Hey guys, hoping one of you could help me out here. I've just finished changing over engines and put a EL Tickford engine out of a Fairmont Ghia in to my EL Futura.

It will idle though as soon as i apply pressure to the accelerator it just stalls. So little power that even when idling it won't go up over the small bump to go out my garage . Idle is at about 500rpm

Any ideas on what it could be? Leads are new, distributor is new, new plugs, new oxygen sensor, new air inlet temp sensor, new coil, checked the stepper valve against one i know works well.

Behaves the same on either petrol or gas.

reset your base idle speed, 500 seems too low.
does it idle rough?

How do I do that? Is there a tech doc on it?

And yeah it does idle rough. Feels like it doesn't want to run.

check all your vacuum lines, make sure the intake manifold bolts are tight.

TPS connected?

Yep. Replaced it with one I know works too. Still no improvement.

Fuel lines connected properly?
In to in, out to out.
