Hey,

I pulled my fuel tank out last night as it was leaking ( from blowing the tyres at the burnout comps the belts wore a hole in the tank ) !!!

And as im in the process if a v8 manual conversion.

Im trying to decide weather to just buy a v8 tank and put a warlbro pump.
Which means I can keep my spare wheel but I cant run duel exhausts out the rear of my car id have to drop them at the diff.

The other option I have is to cut the spare wheel well out and weld a flat sheet of metal in there and put an aluminium fuel cell in the boot, Which I would then be able to run duel exhausts all the way but I wont have a spare tyre and im not sure about the legal issues.

What are peoples thoughts?

Yeah not many engineers would like to attach their name to that... Id stick with a normal tank, unless your building up a track car...

Thats a tad worrying, a leaking fuel tank, from burst tires in a burnout comp. Rims on bitumen generally make sparks... scary.
