the trip computer is saying 16litres per 100 km and after i fill the car it is telling me that it only has 370k's worth of petty. This is with town driving and taking it very easy

city driving ive managed to get 17.8 consistantly :(

on a 800km country trip with quite a few slow runs thru a town and lots of overtaking i averaged 10.8L/100

on one tank i did - ALL s**t, i mean city driving, not one speed zone over 60kmh, i got 16Ll\100 according to the trippy.

every fill i make, i reset the trip odometer on the dash and all T/C functions. It always says something like 370kms to empty when i fill. just the norm until you drive it a bit i guess!

you can always improve ur cars fule econ if u want, eg cleaning throttle body, intake valves, injectors. then there are mods, cold air intake with kn filter, chip, exhaust lots of ways to help it.

Try removing air cleaner, running engine up to operating temp.
Rev the car at around 1500rpm, use a spray bottle and spray a mist of water into the intake. Water heats up to steam, steam will lift carbon.

Works for me and all others who run water injection.

Is vehicle V8 or 6Cyl should average 500 kms per tank city running up to 850kms on a trip DEPENDING on heavyness of right foot
