In the long run, you'll be spending more money on a system which could potentially blow you up in the event of an accident. It will most likely be more of a headache then what it will achieve.
All in all, the fuel will get hot no matter where the hell it's going...

The heat from an engine lasts longer than the heat from the radiator, and you wouldn't have it fitted next to the radiator anyway.

I have this setup on my turbo car and made my own intercooler sprayer to complement the system. They sell a part that flows the liquid CO2 through a block that the fuel flows through also (seperated of course) and cools it aswell. They claim extra benefits from the denser fuel. Allot of deisel trucks and machinery run fuel coolers, but deisel not being flamable except under compression makes it allot less risky to setup.

I have considered and looked into this.
Don't waste your money or time. The cooler has to be fitted with high pressur fittings (do not use the type pictured above), It needs to restrict enough to cool fuel bit not enough to starve the motor. Also it has to cool the fuel quite significantly, as it heats up again in the rail/injector. |

The ED Falcon has rubber hose and hose clamps...from the factory....They don't run 100 psi, so doesn't need hi-press fittings.

Yes i agree unless your running CO2 which cools to -70F, the effectiveness of a fuel cooler would be little to nothing. But I disagree with you about an oil cooler not being able to take the pressure. They will easily take 100psi, the fittings will take 100psi because if a pressure release valve goes the oil will go to 100psi. The normal oil pressure is about 50-60psi which is lower than the pressure in the fuel rail which is 45psi anyway. The effectiveness of a cooler would depend on the amount of time in the cooler, that would be determined by the size of the cooler and the amount of liquid flow through it.

I'd rather be safe then on fire! |

I was a the drags many yrs ago watchin a dude with a Mazda RX7 and he was puttin dry ice on the intercooler just before going onto the strip. It had the intercooler under the bonnet.
