I had that gut-wrenching feeling last night that my car was completely porked. I had a look at the damage today and it's pretty bad. I seem to have picked up something from the road and it has completely mangled the bash-plate which protects the fuel lines. The fuel lines themselves have been shattered. There may be one or two which seem to be un-touched because fuel is still getting to the engine. Fuel is constantly dripping from the lines and when I start the car it gushes out.
It is definately going to a mechanic when I can save up the money. I would like to have an idea how much work and $$$ i'm in for. Thanks 53XR6.

Ok, you can buy the parts fairly cheap and do it yourself if you want?
You will need a Shield, part number AY 9C291 A $21.90, the pipe from the front of the fuel filter to the front hoses BA 9289 A $22.80, the pipe from the fuel filter to the tank BA 9A322 A $20.50, the return pipe BA 9B337 A $23.95 and the fuel filter (believe me you will need to replace this) AFG 55 AA $37.50.
