Are you planning to go forced induction? I had one installed but the guys do the dynotuning said there wasn't much point & to just use an XR6 fuel reg.

If its only when you are going uphill I'd be looking at your fuel pump install.
Sounds like the pump isnt picking up any fuel. If you changed the pump check to make sure the o ring is still on the tank. That might be the cause of the smell. |

nah it smells like its coming from the front end
but i will check the o ring on the back bty its a wagon not a sedan with the surging its pissing me of it makes the 6 look bad in front of 4cylinder when they over take me on hills which is not good |

Check for leaks at the front. What did you do about the carbon canister? Is it still connected to boost pressure?
Did you put a different pump in it? |

so anyways i found out what the problem was one of the leaads popped off so i replaced them all with new ones
now my other issue is when im at a set of lights it feels like the engine shudders from stop to go its not a big issue because it only happened a few times im going to replace the coil pack in it i checked the inejctors and one of them sounds like they need cleaning well its the last one that is close's to the firewall all the rest seems fine but it wont hurt to clean the lot anyways |

i put the new plugs on
but idling isent any better i mean spark plug leads and im starting to think that maybe the crank pully is stuffed because when i apply the timing light to it it should show that its on the 2pm postion but instead it shows that its on the 12 position |

mate the timing on ef falcon are pre set u can not be manualy adjust only when u have the base idle and timing reset on the ecu..and the rubber damper on the harmonic balancer tend to fail and spin of the crank..$90 from auto 1 .. have u checked ur inlet manifold for leaks using a vacume gauge also idle speed solinoid on throtle body could be dirty and clean ur inlet air temp sensor under neath the throttle body in the manifold ..and finnaly chech the vac lines from the connection next to the iat sensor somtimes they crack how this info helps
