i have an EA on gas now and have run nearly all my 6cyl cars on it, and am quite happy.
Though i have built a new engine and hope to turbocharge it, and need info on tuning, esp. cam timing and advance if anyone can help? Its a dedicated system.

If you bought the car with LPG then you will be saving alot. Although if you have had the car converted, then its cost you $$2400 roughly to convert Now per week your saving say $45 average, its going to take around 53-54 weeks for those savings to equal the cost of the gas conversion (to pay it off in other words). Although after that your laughing!

Although after that your laughing! As you say unless the car is already converted. As mine is a Ford egas wagon and Ford charge $1400 more for egas and Uncle Johnny gives you $1000 then the original outlay is only $400. If planning on having a current car converted the goverment give $2000 which goes a hell of a long way to recouping the converstion costs. Which can now be as high as $3500 for the injected type systems.

to use the factory guage is pretty easy, the installer just has to use the right sender and tap into the wiring. its not a difficult thing for them to do.
the only way you'll get a semi-accurate range with the trip computer is if you actually wire it into the guage. if its got a seperate guage then the trip comp range wont work. all the other features of it will work, but won't be 100% accurate (nothing u can do about that either)

bulldust... standard Egas BA Falcon factory specs for oil changes are at 15,000km or 12 months, with just a standard 15w/40 oil. |

I'd still change it more regularly myself though.
After reading the Wheels test for the Golf GTi turbo ... there are oil quality sensors in the engine that popped up an alarm at 12,000km saying that the oil needed changing before the 15,000km service as the oil had already broken down below acceptable levels. I am betting it will be the same for many vehicles out there. For piece of mind ... it's cheap to drop the oil halfway between servicing cycles ... cheap insurance for the engine really. It also comes down to the type of driving done as well.

Are there any mods i shud know about to do to it when I get gas?

I just got my conversion done on my 210000k EF. WOW is all I can say. Used to cost $90 to do a 500k trip now it cost me $37 to do the same trip. I am very happy with that. My conversion only cost $1687 so I am way ahead. Power levels feel almost the same, actually I would say it feels better on the highway.
I can now afford to drive somewhere! cheers Scott
