was wondering if anyone has a gas injection system on there vehicle,as i understand with injection you get about the same economy as with petrol but more performance due to higher octane levels, there is no chance of backfire with these systems either, the only drawback is on full throttle the systems can't handle high rpm so the gas computer will immediately switch to petrol once its reached it limitations, this is the advive i got from a few lpg installers today, the good thing is there is no restriction on air flow.i've been quoted around the $4000-$4500 mark, any comments

Basic chemistry, LPG has a lower calorific (*#ck knows how you spell that) value than petrol, so you have to use more gas that petrol to get the same energy out of it, so any place that claims their kits get the same economy as petrol are yanking on your old fella.

Without it l can get 650 to a tank of petrol with mixed driving so cars tuned well. Dont know what i'll get on gas without towing as itll never happen with a full tank where i dont tow.

Wifes 8 months pregnent so l guess it's true jeezz, 8 months pregnant, you would be yanking on it by this stage, with about another 10weeks till you get any action If your getting the same economy on both, then it means your car is running crap on petrol, OR like most people (like myself), you tend to give it a bit more stick when on petrol because it goes better, bringing the economy down.

Is 650klms bad economy on petrol??? Power wise l feel no difference in it at all. It has even felt more powerful on gas than petrol on these freezing cold mornings. Almost like it's got a small turbo hidden somewhere. This weeks tank gave me 325 kays with only city driving. As for the cranking 10 weeks would be a dream all you fathers out there know from here till after the birth will be at least 16 long lonely weeks.

16 weeks, man, thats harsh.
650km is pretty good. The most I ever got out of mine on petrol was about 550k's (never run it bone dry though) and on gas just over 400k's. With the gas it never seemed to make much difference if it were city or highway running either, like it did with the petrol.
