How do I adjust my idle speed on a GRA (Gas Research Australia) throttle body? It's idling at 1,200rpm since I installed it.

Looking at the Carb. from the pasenger side of the car, on the right hand side right down underneath where the acc. cable is, is a screw with a locknut. It's a bastard to get at, but that is the idle adjustment. I'm not sure, though, if you have to put the ECU into learn mode to adjust it.

is that on petrol or gas?

I got mine running yesterday and on gas it idles at 750-800rpm petrol 1000-1100rpm.

but i'm getten it dyno tuned next friday i hope.

it's only on petrol at the moment, basiclaly the LPG system isn't set up yet bar the lines, the tank, bracket for the converter and the throttle body.

So I unwound the bolt all the way, it now revs at idle when warm (revs slightly lower when cold) just below 1,000rpm (this is in Park running on PULP, with the accelerator cable disconnected), any ideas how to get it lower?

Plenty of slack in the accelerator cable, and it didn't change the idle rpm when I disconnected it, so that seems alright there.

does changing the idle on the gas (which i have done a few times) actually change the idle on petrol?? if so that makes sense i suppose, i should know this shiz

with LPG you seem to have the ability to alter the fuel mixture at idle, which would probably have an effect on the rpm at idle of LPG.
However, there's a single idle bolt which will alter both LPG and petrol idle on the GRA throttle body.
Likewise with a standard throttle body, still one idle screw which will open the butterfly more or less at idle therefor altering the rpm.

You have to reset the base idle in the ecu . Trying to find book on EF to let you know best way to do it ..Anyone got the manual handy ?

Just to let you know
Recently converted mine to LPG am really happy with it ,had a few tuning probs till the fitter told me to run standard plus in it not platinums .Changed to standard style plugs no more backfiring or lazy idle.

does yours have vacuum hoses attached to the body,and a positive feed system? if so you need to put restrictors in the hoses to cut down the vacuum pull on the plunger-which partly opens the main throttle.and set up mixture ratios---exhorst sniffer and play with different size restrictors,takes about 1hr or less if you fluke the right size.
