hey im planning to fit An ED ECU to my ser1 EB. i need to by-pass smartlock. I know you can buy a by-pass for $275- but that seems a bit steep.
Is the signal just a voltage? or frequency? can't be that hard to make one surely? Cheers for your help. |

im fitting a late EB2 (basicly an ed) ecu into my eb series one aswell,
except im going to fit the smartlock dashloom aswell, coz i was going to add smartlock anyway. i like remote entry. gonna attempt it in the next month or so.

Get yourself a smartlock keybarrel, and key. then hide it somewhere with the key in the 'on' position, that's what I do to enable remote start on my alarm. You get a permanently on smatrlock light on the dash, buy hey it works, and set me back $45 from FTG.

Yeah, i've got all the signal and what it needs to start etc, I worked out my own smartlock addon the day, so you can start a smartlock ECU in a non smartlock car .

details? I'd be intersted in NOT having another key barrel hiding under teh dash.
