I was driving to work this morning and suddenly i noticed that my car was overheating and then the water low light came on. So i paniced, put on my left indicator and tried to speedup a lil to get into the left lane to pull over and then my car started bunnyhopping.
I got out to check to see if it had overheated and the engine was fine. So far the problems i have noticed. battery, speedo and temperture dials all move when indicating along with loss of power and the oil pressure is down to about 1. The only 2 dials that work are the fuel and tacho. I have a manual conversion on my car and also have a autowatch blue series alarm. If someone can give me any clues with whats going on i'll appreciate that Thanks Antony |

Just an update everytime i took off it would make all the dials turn to 0. as if it was stealing the power away from the car. Indicator does the same thing too. everytime it flashes all the dials turn to 0 and the engine loses power.
Could it be a fuse or relay. Or maybe my amp could be causing the problem. |

Check all your negatives - earth leads, battery terminals etc.

Sounds like your running out of battery power, is your alternator charging? has it been starting the same lately? no power = no fuel pump... so that would explain the bunny hopping.
If it is charging, you must have a pretty damn big short somewhere... haven't smelt anything yet? Cheers

More than likely one of the black earth wires has broken off your negative battery terminal.
