Siphon it out through either the filler or remove the pump and siphon out from there.

Connect 12v directly to the fuel pump circuit and pump the fuel out

this is a area were u should be worried as the right amount of oxygen a fuel mixture and a spark and uve got a fire so if the tank has $50 worth of fuel the oxygen levels will be to low to ignite so a screw driver and a hammer is the easiest option for 100% fuel recovery

connecting the fuel pump to 12V is ok but wont get everything out of the tank

If you have the keys, turn the ignition to on, with the feed hose to the rail disconnected and extended to where ever you want to pump the fuel to, it should just pump it all out. As far as I am aware the fuel pump will run untill it gets to pressure, if its open at the squirty end it will just keep chuggen till its dry. I may be wrong though. Safer than dropping 60 kilos of weight onto your head by taking the tank out, safer than a screwdriver, specially seein as you wanna keep the juice, and safer than bodgey wiring jobs.

Probably simplest to disconnect the fuel line at the filter.
Make sure the car has 12v, earth the top right pin of the diagnosis connector, ign on - pump will run.
As mentioned, be careful, use safety specs, etc.

that's what I did...got all of it out until I figured I can just pump it out via the fuel rail line...cleaner, faster and the fuel gets filtered in the process.

That's good if the pump is running but being a wreck he may need to go back to the old fashioned ways.

You are a f**k nuisance.
Its a plastic tank - Where is this deadly spark coming from?
Running the fuel pump will get out pretty much all of the fuel, and has the advantage of being able to stop and start at will, like when you've just filled up the 10L drum and need the next one.

well im sorry i dont know its plastic i assumed it was like dads XC tanks im only 18 m8 i havent yet had to play with a E series fuel tank

idk about u but i dont use 10L drums i use 20L drums and during the switch its as easy as having a catch pan of some sort at the bottom or putting ya finger over the hole if you have someone to pass u the next drum
