Sorry for the noob question but I'm confused by the fuel line connection in my EF.
Its the one at the base of the firewall. Its not a slip on hose and clamp type thing. Its got a metal connection and a plastic slip on thing that sits inside it. People who have seen it would know what Im on about. Can anyone help? |

Make sure you release the pressure before you want to remove the line
To undo it, push the plastic clip into the housing that it kind of fits in...it's hard at first but once you push it in you can then pull the pipings apart. phong =P~

And what do you do if you have already broken the plastic connector ?

Hahaha I was afraid you'd say that I managed to do the same thing. I made a metal ring about the same size as the plastic one and slipped it over the hose...then pushed it into the house. I had a spare head guide ring/dowel thing. Took a while to get it to fit in right to slip into the house but it worked in the end. Good luck phong =P~

Thanks for that. Ill give it a go.
Im not terribly keen to start cutting into my fuel line with a grinder to fix it the old fashioned way. |

Got it. I mashed the broken bits back in and pushed them in with a screwdriver and it popped off.
Thanks for your help. |

Fixing leaks and swapping the trans over to a better one.
I really want to put a 2J in there but need to buy a winch for the 4wd first. Getting stuck and breaking stuff last night made me |

He's modifying like me, modifying from the factory standard "broken" & "leaking" to the aftermarket "working" and "no oil leaks" |

Maintaining standard cars FTW.
Nothing goes wrong and the car doesnt end up off the road for 12 months. |
