As the title says, i wanna relocate the MAF on the 2.0 Zetec thats going into my corty, so its pretty much on top of the throttle body, the opening of the pitot tube in the MAF will be around 8-10cm from the throttle plate - will this BE OK or should i go a different way and move it further apart, also does the MAF need a straight section of tube directly before it?

Not sure on the straight tube, but i would imagine it needs to be a fair distance so as to not suffer from reverberation when the throttle is opened. I know some of the 4.6 stangs suffered from this problem if the maf was moved. As for how far, your guess is as good as mine. I would look at making it similar length as it was on the original car.

Ive heard of forced induction blow through applications having issues with MAF turbulence, but on the other hand MassFlo EFI sell a MAF that goes either under or over the TB in a carby style setup (I cant remember which way) so it must be able to be done somehow. There is a correction table in the EEC code that can correct for it I guess, but in the standard form it is not used, so I would say that Ford found it easier to just mount the MAF in that position for the best operation.
