well, if your fairly certain that 15 amps is sufficient, chuck in a 10 amp fuse and hopefully it stays unblown. Nothing to lose except a 50c fuse.

Always not best to run a fuse equal to to the wire current rating. Other factors affect its rating detrimentally such as temperature, cable surroundings for heat dissapation etc.
