The most ive got is about 510kms to a full tank of petty and about 480kms to a full tank of LPG and least would have to be about 400kms on petty and 300kms on LPG (but thats driving really hard). Bout average for an I6 Auto.

in my XF, anywhere from 350-450km to a tank, altho for pure highway work, she's supposedly good for 550+ (did 240km at 120-140km/h, and only used 31L)

funny part is that some EFI XF's are supposedly good for 6-700km

as for EF-EL XR6's, a friend has managed 650km mixed highway/town

My EF GLi auto gets 450-550 per tank depending on if i am in heavy start/stop driving or reasonable city driving.
Much much better on country roads when cruis'n at 100-110 but i haven't measured it on the highway as i am a city driver.

It was interesting to put the cluster into diagnostics mode and see the instantaneous fuel consumption when taking off at the lights. Seems like good fuel economy requires driving like grandpa to curch :?

Long term distance per tank according to the cluster was in the 535 kms ballpark.
In the process of getting a trip computer.

Cheers

With my EB full at 68 litres I get up to 600km.
That's highway country roads, which is 90% of my driving.

I get 500km from 3/4 of a tank on country highway driving, occasionally opening it up to get around road trains in short distances!!

Drove from QLD to Tamworth, about 670km then did about 50km of city driving after that before I filled up and the petrol light still wasn't on. I was pretty stoked...
Only just put the manual in too so wasn't driving soft

The most I ever got out of the auto was about 620 back when it didn't have 'issues'.

Usually 580-620 around town, not heavy start stop city traffic.

800-850 on the highway.

all the numbers a very different i have to say.
some seem hard to belive. my mate hwo is driving a 96 auto wagon told me when i bought my xr that i will never get more than 400-420kms to a tank. I was surprised to get 525. Some are saying 6-700? how can this be?
so basically from what i understand a tank can last between 250-700kms???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

350-400kms around town, driving hard.
I got all the way from the Western Suburbs of Melb to Canberra for the Nats on a tank and was racing an SS Crewman through Albury at half a dozen traffic lights.
So about 800kms on highway driving, with a loaded up car and two people.

Wheel sizes seem to affect this figure by a bit!
