I need to work out how to wire an AU TPS into an EBII, if possible.

The EBII wires are as follows:
orange/black - goes to MAP sensor and ECU
green/black - goes to ECU
black/white - goes to ECU, most or all other sensors, and self test connector

All i know about the AU TPS wires is:
1. green
2. blue
3. n/a - none fitted

Can anyone help?

Can you use a au series 1 throttle body and tps. They are the same as the ef el which has three wires going to the tps?

The reason for the mod is i got an e-gas throttle body. Should i have got a series 1 e-gas, if they exist?

Another way i figure i could do it is fit the EL butterfly axle to the e-gas TB and drill and tap holes for the EL TPS.

My concerns here are:
- Are the butterfly screws locktited in place, and if so, how to remove without mushing head?
- How important is it to get the TPS in the right position, if i drill the holes the TPS could easily be 1 or 2 or more degrees out?

I used an AU II TPS, and it had 3 wires (?)

... all of which matched my EF. nice!.

Then I updated to an E-gas body, and it plugged straight in.

In my limited experience the e-series TPS's have closely spaced mounting screws and the AU's are broadly spaced. Are those TPS's you mention closely or broadly spaced?

I have two AU TPS's and they both have two wires, but they have provision for three wires, one wire space is plugged up. I have wondered if i could split open one of them and add a wire?

Otherwise maybe i can just get one like yours that has three wires, if the screws are broadly spaced?

Hi BOO, welcome.

Can you please clarify what you say? I know there are two different TPS's because both of my AU TPS's are different to my EBII and EL TPS's.

AU has a 3 pin connector....

the colours are Black/white, green, orange

unless e-gas is different and just acts as a on/off switch

I think i've been getting confused in one area. To clarify, all of my TPS's have three pins on them, but the harness i have has only two wires going into the plug for the TPS. I was led to believe the harness was off an AU, and it has an AU knock sensor and AU TPS plug, but my invoice says EF, can't see how that could be true. Don't know if the harness was off a petrol or LPG car. It does have a four pin plug on it that is the same as for a stepper motor.

Does anyone want to sell me a plug that has three wires coming out of it and is designed to fit an AU TPS?
