I've got the same system as dcstraight, though it seems Steve's system is out performing mine in the way of economy.
I guess since my engine is completely stock there is room for improvement I know my exhaust is absoluetely stuffed and can only hinder fuel econ (the exhaust fell off yesterday) but i'm still loving my LPG. 400km's from 68litres usable, pretty much all city driving. i think a better air filter/exhaust/extractors should certainly help things out

I have approx 55 usable litres of LPG (I went for the smaller tank, still weighs a tonne though). I get around 250-350km, depending on how lead footed I am on a particular day (mostly city driving). Not too shabby, considering 55L costs approx $23-$24.00.
Yeah a decent exhaust and filter makes a noticable difference in economy, runs a tad cooler too.

I just think yours is a bit tired...the zorst side of things will help too I reckon...your car also being lighter will make a difference (my wagon is close to 1650 / 1700 kegs I reckon. Also it depends on the jet you have in your GRA throttle body...mine's not as rich as it can be...also remember you have a 3.45 final ratio...mine's 3.23...meh - lots of variables ! Cheers, Steve |

My EF XR is putting out 112.8rwkw on LPG, should be around 120ish as the gas system is running extremely lean and s**t atm. But hopefully i can get all that sorted out.

Filled up both tanks yesterday cos fuel was "cheap" Cost me $105!!!! Sounds bad, but that'll get get this big ol' V8 to sydney and part way back without stopping, not bad. Oh and it has to be the cheapest lowering job going around... 150L of fuel and that rear end really starts to squat!!

sounds like alot of you people dont know how to start lpg cars!!!?
mine has auto switch as in it will start on petrol and switch to gas soon after. my old car had the manual switch , start on petrol and when driving on flat road switch to gas. unless im mistaken thats the only two ways to start your duel fuel car and you never start on gas when car is cold thats a BIG no..no

The best part of it is you dont feel like your "inhaling" when you fill your car up. No aromatics taking care of your senses and nostrils

I'm a bit of an LPG fan - especially for the Tickford / Ford / Vialle gear

i agree, LPG can have its ups and downs - my parents had a 1989 Na fairlane back in 1995. 200,000 kms on the clock and LPG. Sold it in 1998 with 285,000 kms, the LPG was good at the time, but the motor cracked the sads at times. No 60/40 seat usage either.
