Hey all,
maybe people have asked this before - but what are the best injecters t get for fuel economy!! I have heard vt commodore ones are good!! But i wouldnt even have thought that they would go - cause the whole ford - holden would be different! |

changing injectors wont improve ur fule econemy, unless ur ones are stuffed. if u go smaller or bigger flow wont make any difference as, the o2 sensor will just bring the air fule ratio back to spects. you would only change them if the ones u had did not flow enough, and then that is not for fule econemy

the 02 sensor wouldn't bring it back. All you would get is an 02 sensor out of range code in the ecu and piss poor economy and performace. |

Yeah the EEC can only compensate +/-10% so going larger without EEC modification will cause major issues, and even then the EEC will only compensate at idle and cruise and basically guess for heavy throttle. Injector size generally doesn't affect fuel economy (not until you get very large anyway). As said, just make sure they are clean. If they have done more than 200,000kms its probably worth having them reconditioned. |

what are the possible swaps for the standard ford injectors that will operate within the o2's range? I am asking because i need injectors for a BBM conversion and if i can source injectors from another make it might be cheaper/easier

so if injectors are clogged they can cause poor fuel economy, what if u get resonable performance, but bad fuel economy, can that still mean bad flowing injectors?

not really, if the injector werent flowing well and leaning out the mixtures to create power you would get better fuel economy. I cannot see a situation where what you have said could be possible |
