Hopefully this query doesn't appear elsewhere here .

I am interested in getting one of these for my ef.
It is on sale at Ebay Australia .
It is as the title says ( an intake mod. chip )and if anyone wants to check it out the item number is :

250081023595

so just enter that number into the search box and you should come up with all the info on this.

What I would like to know is if this is a good thing for my car ?
Is it a good upgrade ?
Is the item known to be junk or is it good /decent enough quality ?
If anyone knows of this seller - is he honest and not a scam or rip off ?

Any info you can provide would be much appreciated .

Thanx - Dixie

no joke its a 4 cent resistor and a swtich in a box. it tells the car that its still cold and quite simply dumps fuel in to the manifold.

short answer? NO!

no, the price is radiculous for what it is
no, it would give a magic 20 hp

yes it will increase the fuel CONSUMPTION
yes it will damage the oxygen sensor

what about the amazing oil that makes your engine sound better? and the plug leads that give more power? surely that must work. maybe some mothballs in the fueltank will give me more power too....

Mythbusters did put mothballs and a variety of other things in petrol to see if an engine would run better/worse .... was really funny......

one of the things they did notice was that the engine sounded gruntier with the mothballs in the fuel. god knows what damage it would do tho in real life.
