Not sure if anyone here would know but thought I'd ask anyway. Tomorrow I'll be making some calls to the right people (LPG fitters, VicRoads etc) to hopefully shed some more light on the situation. I'll add that info here in case anyone needs it later on.
My DF has an LPG system fitted. Everything is in date, the compliance plate is fitted etc. However, it is the old mixer type. While I'm putting the 6 into the LTD, I'm looking at doing gas injection. I'm tossing up between forking out the money to get the system changed to injection by a professional, or using a system similar to what BenJ and snap0964 have used, and doing the install myself. Keep in mind that the tank and lines etc are all pre-installed and certified, all that will need to be done is possibly change over the fittings in the engine bay to work with this kit. Because I'll need to get another RWC and rego, will my DIY method still pass? Or does that compliance plate only cover the initial install, and not upgrades made to it afterwards? (I also realise I should have put this in the LPG thread, whoops!)

my understanding of the LPG rules is that you cant touch the high presure side of it
low pressure and wiring however is fine this could be wrong so don't quote me on it cheers |
