has any one with a xf/fe/zl got there lpg hooked up to display on there dash guage the lpg place today said it can't be done what a crock reackons they never made a interface for the xf

When I had the LPG system installed in my EA they told me that Ford fuel gauges don't like being hooked up to LPG, They said they could do it but it wouldn't be very accurate.

Should be able to get a sender for the tank to suit your guage, or have one calibrated to suit.

I think they just couldn't be bothered. I wasn't very happy with the service I got from the installers.

got mine hooked up to the digital fuel gauge
in the xf [s-pac dash?] works fine. right down to the last two
flashing red lights. is straight gas though.
installed at auz-gas bayswater.

mine is straight gas and s**t me ebery were i go it flashes at me tekking me there is no fuel welll duh there is no petrol tank either lol

It can be done, I knew a guy once who had an XF Ghia, which had the digital dash, and the fuel gauge would show the petrol level, and @ the flick of a switch, LPG level - no worries.

all the factory setups are hooked up to the same gauge, even some of the after market ones! thats on the later e series, but the earlier setups should still do it with the right parts
